Back to the origional question then.....

I think England will win this one, an unbiased prediction is 2-0 to england. Michael Owen and Steven gerrard on the scoresheet. England are gonna be really fired up for this one after the defeat against France, they will give it all and The Swiss wont have much in reply.

I think people thinking England will struggle are over estimating the Swiss defense.

We looked really solid against France at the back. I know it's a different game plan, but I don't see them giving us many problems.

Croacia were finding space all over the place in the first half against them, and we have much more quality than them, so should be able to capitalise. Some say that the time of day will be a factor, but it's a factor for both teams, so it shouldn't be that crucial.

I think it'll be 3-0 England, I can't see us loosing a goal, and I think their defense won't be able to handle us.

I think the hard game will be against Croacia, who seemed to have a lot more about them, and were a bit more creative.

Does anyone think, croatia might be able to cause an upset by taking points off france? Thats just what England need, to try and finish top of the group and hopefully be able to play the runner up in group A

It think the way England plays doesn't suit them at all. It's boring, predictable...I mean come on, we're English not Italians. What's the point in defending on a one goal advantage if were English!!??? We always **** up, it's part of our nature. Get rid of Erickson I reckon, turning England into Italy just doesn't work, and meanwhile everybody who's whatching gets bored to tears without winning!!

I don't think we sat back on the one goal against France like we have done in the past. We won the pen, and should have gone 2-0 up. We were sat back for the last 20 mins or so, when the one goal looked to be enough, most teams would have done the same.

I think the difference against Argentina was that we were not expecting to win, so when we got the goal we tried to hold on for dear life. Against France we had much more confidence and were not expecting to loose in the same way, so went for the second goal a bit more.

I think Sven should go tho, I mean bringing on Heskey???? those subs just didn't need to be made, the players weren't tired, as they said afterwards players don't get tired in big games!!! He's pissed about in friendly games too much as well, always looking to change... If it's not broke!!!

Easy win for England.

I think this is going to be a tricky match for England if they can't score a goal in the first half. England just need to be patient if they can do that, I am pretty sure that they will win the match.

King played very well against France, so I don't see the reason why not play him in the back four.

I'd like to see Dyer on the left side 'cause Scholes sure can't play in that position & it is a real waste to play Gerrard there.

Owen's performance agaist France was appaling but in the end of the day there are really not that much players to choose from. Vassel is quick but is he good enough? Emile Heskey is not even an option. I don't even understand why he is the team. It's great that we have a player like Frank Lampard who can score goals if the strikers are not up for it.

---------Rooney---Owen-----------------
Dyer---Gerrard---Lampard---Beckham
A.Cole---King---Campbell---G.Neville
---------------James----------------------
