It's annoying to think that Scotland would most likely have gone through in any other group.

It seems they have a frustrating habit of just missing out every time, no matter what group they're in. If they have a relatively easy group on paper, they have a dismal start and wind up just crashing out. If they get landed with "The Group of Death" (as they did this time round), they play amazingly and still just miss out!!

the italians are a disgrace to the sport.

recent antics by them have put them way out there with regards to cheating which is a total affront to any professional sportsperson or fan.

i'm not even that fussed we went out, i didn't expect us to do anywhere near as good never mind be a few minutes from qualifying by beating the world champions but it just disgusts me that a team full of the best players in the world has to blacken the name of the game,

I'm not denying that the Italians employ questionable tactics when it comes to ensuring victory but, from what I heard, it should be the officials who bear the brunt of the anger and UEFA should impose severe penalties on them for such a dire display. It wasn't in favour of either team, which is perhaps something to be glad about, but none of them should be able to officiate matches in next year's tournament proper. They were a disgrace!
