computer techy question

k i have a shortcut on my desktop thats came from a site i was on for some reason or other.

now its not exactly something u want lying around on ur desktop if u catch my drift but everytime i try to delete it i get

"cannot delete {dodgy thing} accessis denied, the source file may be in use"

i can't move it somewhere else, cut it or even rename it cos i always get this stupid prompt up.

any of u know wot to do?

maybe this works: Restart your computer and go into DOS. Try to delete the file there.. (go to the location and enter "del FILENAME")
