Default Confession: I never liked Santa Claus

Even when I was really little, I didn't like him. I thought Santa was a hypocrite before I even knew what the word meant. I watched Rudolph and was REALLY mad at Santa because he wouldn't let Rudolph be on his team because of his nose... until he needed that nose. It just pissed me off and I thought Santa was a mean old coot. I also didn't want to sit in some strange old man's lap when I saw Santas in stores. My mom said she could never make me go up to Santa. I'd start crying.

So to this day, I love Christmas scenes with reindeer in them, but if Santa is part of them, I won't buy them or decorate with them.

My dad told me the same thing. Makes him seem like a burglar doesn't?

No, I wasn't upset at all. I was always suspsicious of him, I suppose. LOL We didn't have a chimney either. I guess I thought he used the door. I really don't remember. I do remember looking out my window at the stars on Christmas Eve, watching for Rudolph's nose. I was probably more upset about finding out that HE didn't exist so the whole "shock" of Santa being a fake took the backburner. LOL

Seeing as we had a gas fire and over here we have very small chimney pots I also got told the magic key story, lolal.

...and I'm just curious if this is true, but I heard that the original Saint Nick actually went around stealing things from homes, lolal....it's probably not true, but anyone know who it was really based on, and what the original guy did?

That's all I could find that held any factual information. I hope it drenches your thirst for knowledge, Thomas.
