I believe conscription is wrong, but I can see why governments enforce it --> because they need as many fit men to fight for their country.
If I was asked to fight I wouldn't. I am nearly trained as a Telecommunications Engineer, and I would make whoever it was aware of it. The closest I'd get to battle I think would be the English bases and around the perimeter to establish communications links. It could still be dangerous, but it's a hell of a lot safer that being an infantry man, and I'm still serving my country.
