Interesting topic. I wouldn't convert to another religion or another form because my significant other had another system of beliefs. I'm probably lucky when it comes to religion - I believe certain things that are pretty mainstream but can't be labelled Catholic or Lutheran or Baptist. I just keep my faith to myself and occasionally attend the church I believe is most harmonious (I hate that word) with my beliefs.

On the other hand, I wouldn't expect a significant other to conform to my beliefs. That goes against my religion. If it were seriously a problem, I'd try and find some sort of compromise, but since I'm not in that situation, I can't think what that compromise would be. The next door neighbors are Catholic and Lutheran, and come Sunday they go to seperate churches. I'd probably try something like that.
