why do you choose to believe the opening line of this thread vs. the official explanation of headquarters?
Because I think all matters in usa are not always as they appear as. First u do something for reasons unknown, then cook up an explanation that u think will satisfy the public. That doesn't always mean there's any bit of truth involved. Like I said, time and time again I am not surprised by any news concerning censorship in usa. I just find it somewhat amusing.

But a store not selling a particular cd isn't even censorhip.

So, you say all matters in the usa aren't always what they seem -- now that would go both ways wouldn't it? Journalist loving the idea of a good juicy story of Starbucks boycotting Springsteen, when in fact, they decided to showcase a different band for that month.

What I meant was NOT ALL and so on, sowwy.

Nope, not selling ain't censorship, unless reason behind is censorship-related. But Americans just love to censor every [beep] thing.

It wasn't "just" that they showcased a different band this month.

Ken Lombard, president of Starbucks Entertainment, told Reuters: "There were a number of factors involved. It (the lyrics) was one of the factors, but not the only reason....
