Well...let's not get into a whole debate about the meaning of a word...but the fact is that 'magic' simply does not exist. David Copperfield doesn't really fly or walk through walls...it's deception. Sitting in a box for 44 days with nothing but water may be a great stunt...but it's not 'magic' is it? And he didn't really cut his ear off either...it's a trick.

Erm.....why is that cynical?

Your not actually saying that you believe in magic?? I don't think that knowing magic is a con-trick is cynical!

I don't recall saying that I don't enjoy it!

But it's a little hard to get excited too much when you know your being conned....is it not? It's all very clever, and I know that 'magicians' train for years to get good enough to pull the big stunts they do....but it's still just a deception, a slight of hand, a misdirection.

Fantastic...sounds like a challenge!

But the thing is I don't doubt at all that he will be in the box....this isn't a magic trick at all...it's about the power of the mind and will power. It is possible for a human to survive for that long with just water...it's just not recommended! He is just flexing his will power...no trick involved in that.

Blaine is one of my all time fav magicians, some of his magics are beyond imagination. I hope he succed in this one too. :P
