What am I missing?

Daylight savings is to SAVE daylight, hence it will be light out longer thanks to daylight savings.

Setting the clock back means that at 6pm (when it is dark here), it is only 5pm and still a bit lighter than at 6pm.....

What are you missing? An hour or something? When you set back the clock, it means that when it's 6 pm, it would've been 7 pm before this weekend. So when it used to turn dark at 7 pm, it will now be dark at 6 pm. Sun rises earlier now, though.

I always reserve the extra hour for sunday night - so I get an extra hour sleep (yeah, I'm quite smart )
Bah, you mean girl!! I meant to say back. I was actually saying back in my head but typing the opposite. Maybe it was just wishful thinking.

I'm one of those that see the positive side and is happy to have got one extra hour of sleep Besides, my boyfriend was here so we got an extra hour together Plus, I don't really care about it being night earlier. Waking up when it's still night bothers me so much more.

Hmmm....it's too bad that many of you don't seem to enjoy the change of time as you approach the darker, colder time of the year. I was pretty stoked about it though, Summer is coming!! October has FINALLY ****ed off, I'm not missing it one bit, bloody pain-in-the-arse of a month when there is no football (Aussie Rules, the greatest sport on earth ) and cricket is still a while away.

But yes, I love the extra time at the end of the day, it allows things like mid-week BBQ's, golf after work, time to go for a nice bike ride around town.

I feel really sorry for you all......no, really, I do!
