It's this liberal mindset that will continue to destroy this country... Who are the real haters!!!!!

I love how someone wanting to keep Drugs and Terrorists out of our country gets flipped into 'racism'... That's the typical media / liberal twist...

Well, actually I don't agree at all with American politics, to me even Bernie Sanders is too conservative, but recent events and recent conversations make it impossible to ignore all those voices. Even if they are wrong

Keeping those conversations civil, of course

I've made it clear from the start that I didn't find either candidate appealing. But I have to tell you, that I'm glad Trump won because I find him less deplorable than Hillary. Please try to understand that his voters are NOT necessarily sexist, racist, homophobic, uneducated, blah, blah, blah.... I'm surrounded by people who voted for Trump and every one of them are WELL educated, intelligent, thoughtful people--most of whom didn't like Trump as a person either but also found him the lesser of two evils and found the platform more appealing. There are many reasons that people voted Republican in this election that have nothing to do with SOCIAL ISSUES which is what most of you seem to be so focused on.

I think many of you must live very comfortable lives. I, like many of my peers, while we are college educated, employed people, live in what I refer to as the "screw you" wage bracket. We don't make enough to get any deductions. We don't make enough to get any benefits. We live paycheck to paycheck. Even so, before Obama took office, I had no debt. Now over 1/3 of my paycheck is going to taxes and insurance and I'm one of the lucky ones who gets health insurance through my work rather than through Obamacare. Now there's a hot button issue. Obamacare is a failure. As an example, my friend--who has a Ph.D.--has to pay $900 a month for insurance through her RETIREMENT for herself and her husband because it was cheaper than Obamacare. Her husband who is still working tried to get health insurance through Obamacare and for him, by himself, and it was going to be $800 a month. Almost $1000 a month for health insurance for 1 person. I don't know if you know about wages around here, but that would typically be nearly 1/2 a middle class wage earner's take home pay. How are you going to pay for a house, car, car insurance, electricity, phone, food, etc... when insurance is eating up your paycheck every month? That's the typical cost. Every person I know who is retired either works part time or has a spouse who works JUST so they can AFFORD HEALTH INSURANCE. These are people who have worked 30-40+ years. They should be able to retire and enjoy it, but no.... thanks to Obamacare, no one can afford health insurance. Then once you get the insurance, no one can afford the deductibles. I have friends, brilliant, well educated friends who won't go to a doctor because they can't afford the deductible. I, myself, had NO DEBT other than a regular car payment prior to Obama taking office. Now I have so much medical debt that I don't even know if I'm going to have to get through the next few months or not. I bought Bon Jovi tickets, but honestly shouldn't have because I didn't need to spend the money. That's a luxury.

I'm not even going to go into details on anything else because probably no one is reading this with an open mind. Let's just say that many Trump voters did not want Four More Years of the Same. They don't think they would have survived.

Humor: Trump--more coverage than Verizon.

Might as well laugh as cry.

Putting aside his views on women, LGBT rights, race, religion, people with disabilities etc... the guy doesn't even believe in climate change. That fact alone proves just how irresponsible, simple-minded and arrogant he is - and it's almost the scariest thing about this whole situation

"My first racist encounter after our new joke of a president, as I am at Wallmart today a woman came up to me and pulled my Hijab of and said "this is not allowed anymore, so go hang yourself with it around your neck not on your head" I am traumtized."

Yeah, just social issues. A $900 premium in Mississippi is far more pressing than people or the environmental health of the planet. By the way, he just announced a climate-change doubter as head of the EPA...

Obamacare is very successful. It's a disaster in Mississippi due to low participation. It was something to fix, not blame Obama / Democrats and then pull the trigger on the country and planet.

First of all, it's a Republican thing, not just a Trump thing... So in order for Trump to run Republican, he has to carry on their beliefs...

Second, he said its real but it's a much bigger world problem than just the US so it's not worth investing into...

That's not a Trump issue, it's a WalMart one....
