5 - You do not have any obvious symptoms of depression. You seem to accept the ups and downs which are a part of normal everyday life

That's what I scored...

Andy, I am disturbed at what you scored, that is not good. Honestly you need some issues you need to work through. Like it says up there, ups and downs are a part of life, you need to go with the flow. Also if you think negative thoughts, negative things will happen to you. I believe depression can be self-inflicted, if you think life is going to give you a raw deal, well, it will. You are so young and you shouldn't be having these thoughts. Maybe you should talk to someone professional, there is no shame in that..
Good luck!

What is it with you guys!!!! So young, your whole life ahead.. Jesus!! Read Dr. Phil McGraw.. all I can say.
Just go with the flow... Jesus!! I'm shocked! I was depressed a few weeks ago, couldn't stop crying, but you know what.. I got over it! I have a good life. And that's what you have to focus on. It's never as bad as you think.. really.

You know, the thing is, no one's life is perfect.. we all have crap we have to deal with, but at the end of the day (and I know it's a cliche) as long as you have your health and food to eat and a place to live all other things are not important, they are just things that can improve. Yes, I would like someone in my life, but I can focus on the fact that I don't or I can focus on the fact that I like who I am and if someone else can't see that, it is their problem not mine. At the end of the day, it is important that I like who I am, who cares what someone else thinks? It took me a while to get where I am, I don't think that I should base my life on someone else's judgement. No, my life isn't perfect, but it's mine and I will live it the way I like. That's my motto anyway..

I scored an 15.

Joeykid, if you really got a 64 I think you should try to see someone about it. There's no shame in going to a therapist or someone professional. I did it myself about 8 months ago and I'm so glad I did. She helped me to understand exactly what was making me depressed (school ) and that things would get better. And they did.
I also found out I had dysthymia which is a type of depression that ISN'T just in your head - it's a medical thing which I would never have known about and wouldn't be able to treat if I hadn't seen a doctor.

Anyway, good luck and hopefully you'll be able to sort it all out.
