taking medication is the very last thing i would do. it is scary how easily accessable this stuff is today!!! i mean, you can buy medication in supermarkets in certain countries!! hello???? does anyone ever think of the consequences? I wouldnt advise anyone to take anti-depressivas (sp?), unless they are close to commiting suicide or sth like this; and even then i'd try everything else first.

yeah, there's a confidentiality law - that restricts the dr from EVER repeating or talking about ANY patients.
When my sister (who's at college and we don't see her too much) was getting help for depression last november - january, the dr did talk to my mom about what my sister had said during one session; but that was with my sister's permission and my mom and the dr had to never see each other ever again. That only happened because my mom wanted to know what had happened to her daughter, because my sister never told my mom the extent of everything.

And if you need to go to a doctor for help, please do. They really do make a difference; With how my sister was doing, the doctor said that if she hadn't gotten help when she did (at the end of november '02)she would've ended up commiting suicide by January. It took her about 5-6 months of thearpy for her to completly be herself once again, but 5-6 months of therapy is far better then putting your family and friends through your death.
