Ooh yes - locking threads is such an out-of-this-world experience that I do it whenever I can - I get such a rush.

Seriously - don't you think I'd have been glad not to have to hear you moaning and complaining?

You want to pose as such a liberal, free person, you complain about how you are deprived of your freedom of speech yet you forget that everyone is entitled to look as they please without anyone making fun of them for it. He wasn't bound to get remarks on it. As far as I know it was only a few losers who felt the need to comment on that. Hmmm... I wonder why.

At the end of the day, it comes down to tact. No one has ANY right to make comment negatively on someone elses looks. If someone overweight posts, calling them fat is not fact. It's down right rude. There are dozens of better ways to say it. And even if you DO say it, why bother?

Yeah, anger probably got the best of me back in the old days. I apologize if I haven't already done so. Besides, you know I love you.

Correct - this board is not supposed to be about bashing other people's looks or sexual choices. Do you really think that if you tell someone that they are fat that it is news to them. Do you think they will lose weight because you noticed? All you are doing is being insulting and nasty - believe me - a fat person KNOWS that they are fat. Ditto for being gay or homosexual.

And AGAIN it not only got to do with this thread, the one that got deleted or any other (if you want I can post links for more examples?) but it's got to do with Mods miss-using there rights....
The mods are well within their rights to lock something when a thread about "where do you come from" turns into a gay bashing thread - or even a pointless argument thread. The mods on this board are some of the most easygoing you will ever run into on a messageboard.

YES, what to think of Kev who closed down the Youtube Thread for no reason at all - and no reason given when being asked for
http://drycounty.com/jovitalk/showthread.php?t=37415

What about Mousebounce closing the thread when having a normal discussing (however a losing one for her) with Devilson, got closed. He reminded me, I remember.

What about a while back when a thread of mine got closed by whatever Mod because I was asking there would be a change in Mods, being chosen by normal board-members?

What about all the stuff the Mod's did against Gaz when there was no reason for it, ie just getting back on him for other things he did (not referring to sig)

What about the 2-or 3 threads closed when Supersonic was moaning about the Mods and the Mods had not legit answer back and therefore closed the threads....

And these just jump into my head. If you want I can dig a little further....

Edit: I'm fully awake, had already taken my stuff so I could go to a dance-party till tomorrow night but got cancelled by authorities because it was illegal, I will dig up the other stuff tonite... will be continued....

It's not rude, it is being honest.
There are many people that tell that person how good he or she is looking while that person is not, that's is lying and let that person believe something that is not
I know that happens a lot, esp in some areas in the world... but IMO that is not fair

It happened to me the other day. I was at a concert, some woman next to me constantly waving her arms but she smelled horrible (although she looked damn good). I told here she was smelling bad and asked here if she could wave here arms somewhere else or use my deo. What's rude about that? It's being honest. If that is being too honest in your opinion, that's your problem and I will do absolutely nothing with your narrow-minded comment

My problem is NOT with honesty. If someone is waving her arms and bothering you, by all means speak up. You have EVERY right to. If someone posts their picture and someones goes out of their way to call them fat, it's totally different. It's not like pictures of unattractive people have an odour that causes you to comment.

well then this is an endless discussion. If I think someone is ugly, I am in every liberty to tell that person how I think. If I think someone is beautifull just the same. If I see a guy who looks like a girl, I think I am in every liberty to tell that person how I think.
This also goes the other way around....
Just like I am in every liberty to have this opionion, just like you are to have yours....
Anyway I like to go back to the mod's miss-using there rights...

Fair enough. Eh. Differing opinions, not much else we can do.

Best of luck on the mod issue.
