It's doesn't really bother me, sometimes I feel like reading it, sometimes I don't, so I don't, that's it.
My question is why is the number of posts so important to so many of you?

Ditto - If I'm not interested I don't read it. I don't get annoyed at all. And I have the same question about number of posts. As some of you know, I used to post on a Bruce board (for a very long time actually) and I never saw people boasting about post totals. Sometimes people complained about a newbie requestiong stuff but it wasn't a competition to post more spam.

LOL, the reason why total posts is important to certain people is because they are in competition with each other!

it's not that they annoy me but i think they're quite boring. so if i have to choose between yes or no, i choose yes.
but it gets pretty annoying when people every 100 posts say congrats to each other.

Yes. First they were only opened for birthdays, but the amount of posts congratulations annoy me. Who cares how many posts you've got ? Kev's got 10.000 posts, but most of it is trash and not worth mentioning anyway.

At the end of the day it was just meant as a fun post. No-one was boasting about the amount of posts they have, I dont even look at my total form one week to the next. Like Kev said, Tash and Neil did similar posts and they wernt deleted.
