That just sounds like quite a pessimistic attitude to me. I worked hard to get into University to study Architecture last year. I worked ahrd all the time, but I didn't enjoy it enough to pursue it as a life goal. I changed my course this year, so now I'm on a completely different "path" than last year. Your logic would say I was never meant to be an Architect hence I changed course, but I could decide tomorrow to drop out and just get a job, it is MY CHOICE, not some almightly dictator pushing me into it. I could go and jump off a bridge, I could do anything I want to do.
Yes ur choice but some time there wont be any 'other' option. I do think if u work hard for ur goal, u will achive it most of the time but not always u can get ur way...

I can whail and blame my failures in life on my fate and it being gods will all I want, the fact is that I made poor decisions in my life and, simply put, I ****ed up. Nobody elses fault but mine. (rhetorically speaking as I don't think I failed in life personally)

Whether or not one tried enough is quite subjective, don't you think? One might say they studied hard for a test, but compared to an A-student, they barely studied at all. So, who is to say that the failing of a class despite the so-called 'studying' was determined by a higher power?

It's ridiculous.

... or being so pathetic loser may be my fault after all...

How come everyone not born genious? or having same personlity or talent??. Those are born quilty, A-Student not really have to study much more then other hard working students, but he got that intellengence which make him better and grasp things much more...
Its all coz thats how he meant to born and thats his fate...whether it make sense or not. At some things i swear i tried my best but never successed or never happend that way, all though i'm glad for it now... but that time i never really understand whats i did wrong or why its not happening...

Call me stupid, but I always thought that was caused partially by your genes and your DNA and partially by how you were raised.

Success or failure IMO has to do with skills, determination and/or dumb luck. Not with fate.

I am taking offense to that statement. I've had to bust my ass to get those A's and people saying 'oh you are just so bright' I could smack right in their face. I am no more intelligent than most other people, so **** right off. But no, lazy shits like to claim that it is 'easy' for the good students to get those grades ....

No, it has nothing to do with fate. It's random luck of mother nature --- there will always be some people who are genius and people who are not so blessed - beautiful people and ugly ones. It's nature --- not some destiny crap.

that is just life. I tried my best to marry a handsome, brilliant, funny, understanding, caring, rich, adventerous, superstar --- but it didn't happen. Guess what? My expectations were out of line. Some people are more lucky and meet Chris Cornell at a freaking fashion show. That's life - deal with it. It certainly isn't god playing matchmaker to cornell and that french chick (whose name I don't care to remember). Oh, and just because YOU think you did your best doesn't mean you actually did your best.

This is just my general rant on this topic and the general Fate crap --- nothing personal.

so your indecisiveness and lazyness are just fate - I see - how convenient. Really, god meant for me to be a lazy bum --- not my fault, I can't hold a job, god wants me this way lol.

yes because nobody can be completely successful if their talents don't match up with what they are trying to accomplish. Nothing to do with fate.

But u are intellegent, even if u dont beleive it. Ofcourse u work hard for ur success, genius need to work hard for success, nothing comes easy. Some people have all the talent in the world but never make use of it coz they never do justice to there talent , their mind is just not right for their talent...

Yes those things are not meant to happen coz its not meant for u... Its does do lot of with our own expectations and i do think the reason i'm unhappy or thing bad of me is coz i'm not just like everyone else around me and i expect tooooooo much from myself and my talent or as person. So thats my fate, can i change my mind or compromise my dream?. But if what i wanted in life never meant for me, how hard i may try i never get it ...

I've missed a part of this discussion now but if I can just take it back a second, it seems that you believe that if you fail it's because you where meant to, fate as it where, but if you succeed despite everything it is your own achievement? That's just as bad as when people go to "confession" and are forgiven for doing bad things because they where somehow tempted by evil. It takes the pressure away, if you believe that it wasn't your fault you won't bother when it happens again.

I believe that anything is possible. If you want something and you really want it, you will try and no matter how many times you fail you will keep trying because you want it. If you fail at something it doesn't mean you can never succeed at it, you just have to want it enough.

Of course there are people with born talent, but it is possible for people to develop and learn skills if they want to.
