In high school and through my first few years of college, I had more male friends than female friends, but could talk to either. However, since I've gone into an education related field, most of my colleagues are female, so now I find it easier to talk to females.

for a night out it's gotta be the lads. you don't have to worry about offending anyone because lads just take it on the chin. plus, you've got people to consult about the girl in the 2inch skirt that's just walked past.

for a proper chat about life or something fairly serious or important, i find girls listen, without their minds wandering onto their next shag or why a horse has a bigger cock than them.

depends...

I'm one of the two girls in my year at uni, so I spend a lot of hours in a boy's world really and I hang around mostly with guys lately as well. When it comes to not so serious chat, I'd rather talk to guys I guess.

But when it comes to some serious life chat, most of the time I end up talking with my female friends. But most of my female friends are longtime friends who know me better then anyone else, so I guess that might be the reason as well why I always hook up with my female friends for those chats .

It depends...you may not like the person you are talkin to, and it won't be very easy and pleasing for you to talk, and it doesn't matter is this person male or female. But I personally talk with more ease with guys, don't know why.
