It depends... I find it equally easy to talk to both, but usually I find it more interesting to talk to guys, since it doesn't involve indepth discussions of which mascara is better, and whether someone should wear the red trousers instead of white ones etc... So going out, I prefer to spend the evening with men, we can concentrate on talking about sports and music, and the drinking itself, whereas with girls I'm required to express opinions on things I couldn't care less about...
On to the point tho... At work, my group manager (closest superior) used to be a girl, and I couldn't really talk to her at all. Then she went to France, and I had a male one instead. I've been able to talk to him always about everything, the breakup and stress a year ago, everything. So in that sense, at work I find it easier to talk with male rather than female superiors.
All in all, I've always had more male than female friends, but when it comes down to it, it's not about the gender, it's about the personality.
I've had my first morning cider already and am a bit tipsy, can you tell?
