I see smoking as something like; paying a lot of money to slowly killing yourself.

At least the results of the poll are in ratio 4:1 (non smokers to smokers). I've never picked up a cigarette in my life and I don't plan on it.

That's purely a matter of opinion. If it's cutting out my breathing, I don't care if it smells like musk or diesel exhaust.

That's what they are intended for. Smoking makes your clothes stink, and the smell clings to you like a perfume anyway.
Perfume was orgininally intended to mask the stench of body odor when people didn't have access to soap and running water. If you have soap and running water, you don't need perfume.

I'd rather breathe in nice smells all day, even if there is a slight chance they are toxic, than breathing in smoke, which cuases lung cancer and heart problems.
Again, if it's preventing me from breathing, I don't care if it smells like daisies or chicken sh*t.

There are a lot more smoking releated diseases and cases than there are of perfume related ones. I can just imagine, next week they'll stop advertising colognes, and add big labels to the packs "Hazardous to your health"
Give the researches time. Eventually perfume labels may come with a warning: May cause coughing, sneezing, wheezing, itchy watery eyes, increase the risk of allergies, asthma, and the aggrivate symptoms of behavior disorders. AND THEY SHOULD.

Neither have I. And I am very proud of it

I don't know if the Finns smoke more than average, but I have to say that I was pretty surprised that there were so much no-smokers, 74 % say that they never smoke!! That's just great!

Congratulations! I am so proud of you too. Enjoy the extra money you'll have and the extra lifetime you'll have to spend it.

Never smoked a cigarette here. My allergies wouldn't let me if I wanted to anyway. I have no desire to spend a bunch of money to kill myself. Plus, I hate the way people smell after they've been smoking. And when I go home after being out with smokers it takes two or three shampooings (is that a word????) to get the smell out of my hair. YUCK!!!!!!!!
