I've tried a few times in my life (which was stupid, given my allergies), but I don't smoke. I can't stand cigarette smoke.
However, I don't think it's right for the government to try to ban smoking in public places when they allow other air pollution like fragrance wearers. Chemical based allergens are chemical based allergens. It's not fair to signal out one group of offenders. (And before anyone says that cigarettes are related to cancer and perfume is not, do some research. Ingredients in perfume ARE related to cancer and illnesss.)
