Personally I think it's a bit silly to have all Euro talk in one thread, it's going to be very confusing when it goes further on in the match to scroll though. I'm not a big football fan myself so I really don't see the big deal about not opening the topics that don't really interest me, I do that already.
I also think it is a bit strange that because one person complained about the amount of topics on the football, one thread was created.. I would think that the majority would decide how it would go and it's only for 2 weeks!

Yes I agree 100%. The reason there are so many Euro threads is becos its popular over here, its not like its going to be forever anyway.

Yes, i agree with Tash, i don't care, i will only look at this thread from time to time.
But for the football fans i understand it's annoying, it's gonna be a bit confusing to have all the games in one thread.
On the other hand, we can't have 10 new threads everyday just for the football !

I suppose the best things would have been a special forum just for the time of the cup like they did one for the lyrics contest.
And what about if a mod create a thread (and only one, everyone would have to post in this one) for each game ?

The mods are too slow.

i think a sports forum would do the trick cause this year we had the hockey wc (which takes place every year), we have the euro04, we have summer olympics, there's the formula 1 which gets much attention over here and the league soccer will start too- in the winter the skiing season starts (and it's the only sports discipline in which i can be proud of my country ) so there's plenty of sport topics...

Sports threads don't really dominate this forum at all. The only time you see a bunch is when something big is going on. I think a sports forum would see as much action as the Silver Screen forum, which serves its purpose but is never that busy. Besides, if we keep creating all of these various forums, Everything Else will be empty.

And yet we create one single thread for the entire Euro championships in order to keep NBJ empty......

I don't agree with that entire one thread deal either.
