^^^ that's actually a really cool story. I might have to steal it

drinking when doing it can go two ways but. sometimes you'll come up with the coolest shit you couldn't do when sober and sometimes you end up with unintelligable crap.

all depends what you,re dirnking, how much you,re drinking and what music is on in the pub IMO.

thats always a good one for people who do lyrics btw, go somewhere that plays stuff you wouldnt necesarilly listen to and you might get a tonne of ideas for songs or lyrics or anything.

I so wish I could write! I admire anyone who can weave a story out of thin air

Sure, that would help overcome my no-writing issues

I've heard of that actually, don't know what it's called though.
But let's say you want to write a story about something similar to what a book already has, you start out by copiyng the book and the eventually something will spring into your mind and you let the ball roll with that.
I don't think this is an actual method for writing, but last I heard phychologists use it to give therapy so people can overcome writers block.

that is quite cool. I wish I had known about it back when I was in college and our stupid writing professor made us keep a journal in which we had to write for 30 minutes every freaking day. It's hard to come up with shit for 30 minutes every single day for a couple of semesters (had the same teacher for several writing classes...).

I've wrote 3 or 4 songs, but they ain't up to much. One of the songs I have lyrics, bass tabs and guitar tabs for it, but I've never bothered to record it. As a general rule my songs are cheesy. Maybe I'll post one later.

Everyone should post something they've written

I've already posted the silly poems I wrote in the FAG forum (though 2 have recently been deleted for no reason )

Ok here goes. Anyone remember that guy who reckoned he was Rob Thomas's brother? gazthomas or something he called himself. He kept hassling me on MSN to help him write a song. So one day I thought I would for a bit of fun. Here it is. Cheesy as hell!

Not Enough
[R. Green, G. Thomas]

All good men are heroes, or so they say
But Ima just a boy and I need to find my way
I been lookin’ for a lover so I can come of age
But I better do some thinkin’ before I turn the page.

[Bridge]
Well I’ve been searching, just tryin’ to find reality,
But I ain't goin’ anywhere, and I’m just left with fantasy....
So why don't you come to me, and don't leave me hangin’ on,
I just want to touch you, a little kiss and I’ll be gone.

[Chorus]
But that’s just not enough!
I need something real
I gotta feed this lust!
I say that’s not enough!
I’m horny head to heal
I’m gonna make a fuss!
It’s not enough (not enough!)

I search so hard, but never make my move
I need to push myself, and then hit the groove
If I don’t try to talk, then I won’t achieve,
And I won’t find love if I don’t believe.

[Bridge
Well I’ve been searching, just tryin’ to find reality,
But I ain't goin’ anywhere, and I’m just left with fantasy....
So why don't you come to me, and don't leave me hangin’ on,
I just want to touch you, a little kiss and I’ll be gone.

[Chorus]
But that’s just not enough!
I need something real
I gotta feed this lust!
I say that’s not enough!
I’m horny head to heal
I’m gonna make a fuss!
It’s not enough (not enough!)

[Instrumental]

Well I’m lookin’ at the floor and I’m feeling blue
But then I looked back up and there were you
You glanced away, so I looked astray…..
But then you turned back around and you made my day!

[Bridge 2]
Well I’ve been searching, just tryin’ to find reality,
Now I’m goin’ somewhere, and baby you’re my fantasy....
So you gotta come with me, and don't leave me hangin’ on,
I just need to touch you, and make love all night long.

[Chorus 2]
But that’s just not enough!
I need something real
I gotta feed this lust!
I say that’s not enough!
I’m horny head to heal
I’m gonna make a fuss!
It’s not enough (not enough!)
I gotta get a lot more
And I know I must!
Yeah, it’s not enough!
We’ve been there before
I know who to trust!
It’s not enough, (not enough), not enough…(not enough)………!

Pretty much all the lyrics are mine, apart from lines 1 and 3 of the first verse which he started with. He was hassling me to help him write more, among other things so I've since blocked him, and not spoken to him since. I wonder if he still comes on here.

Hope ya like it.
