My opinion, for all that it is worth that if any American does not get on with their life after Sept 11 they have just played like putty into the hands of the terrorists. The terrorists' objective ,I think ,was to destroy the American spirit and by publicly grieving one year later it has proven that the terrorists have won. You go Jon. Yor prove that BJ do "Bounce" and that their spirit has not been broken by the Sept 11 events.

Secondly, being older and as an Australian it would look like a cheap publicity stunt to the rest of the world. By the way we do care, it's just that we do not want it in our face constantly.

That's the way I see it

Jon, you think like an American. Just because the Spanish took back the island, with guns in their hands, it doesn't mean that the problem has been solved. You then have to deal with repercussions.

I heard the interview Becky spoke of because it was on our local rock station. Jon seemed happy for the distraction of being busy and out of the country that day. He did say we all have to remember in our own way. I believe we all need to remember in our own way, but we can't let the terrorists stop Americans from living their lives. Jon is going to work that day. So am I and millions of other Americans. When the planes hit the innocent lives lost were those of people going to work and doing what we all do- let's remember them best by doing what we do best that day. As for the comment about Jon's "performance" that was extremely cold hearted- could you have taken meeting with the wives and children of those who had lost their lives just days before and then been able to keep it together to sing. And tell me again- what is it you did to provide comfort to those family members or to help them in any way?

KRB102 is an ass. Plain and simple. His limited social skills leaves him to frequent this board (granted, only with in the last 6 days or so) and spew his anti-American and anit-Jon commentary to a disinterested audience.

Take it elsewhere dipshit... you are here to cause trouble and for no other reason. Find a hobby. Take up a career. Get laid. But leave this board to the folks whose IQ are above that of a sea urchin.

All the intelligent points you MAY bring up about American foreign politics are null and void because your demanor, your language and your obvious bias against American and Jon is so obvious is dilutes any credibility you could have had (which, given your nonsensical ravings this past week, is approximately ZILCH.)

You have major issues

I don't think the world should stop to turn this day. Nobody must forget what happened, but the show must go on

Everybody has to work that day so why not Bon Jovi? Playing concerts is their job like mine is sitting in an office.

Sometimes I think some people forget this and think they just do it for their and our pleasure.

I didnt expect BJ to play on SEPT 11TH in USA ,however I was surprised to hear that they wouldnt be there, as Jon has kept telling us it was practically in his back yard. People he knew were involved, so I would have thought he would have wanted to be there. At the end of the day ,its BJs descision, they can remember it how they want, like we all can.

I think Jon and Bon Jovi have gone beyond the call of duty in regards to there efforts towards sept 11th. They have organised and participated in soooooooooo many events!! So this year they wont be there?? so what??? build a bridge and get over it!!! The guys have to promote there album and move on with life and work like everyone does. I think its great they will be in Japan in a club making music.. after all that is what they do best!!!

Now if only I could get them to OZ !! *grins*

i don't think that no one care about Sept 11 outside the U.S., cause it shattered the world's peace and not just the american. an international force consisting of many european countries struck afghanistan and the arab people, culture, and religion was desriminated against in nearly every way of everyday life, because our western civilization blamed the arab world for the attacks; i think that the problem was and still is international- for sure it were the U.S. which were attacked... i think that sept 11 should've been a lesson to american people because it showed to them that they're not invincible and that they should go down from their self loving opinion that they are the ruling power of the world- from over here it sometimes seems that bush and company think that they are the chosen ones- and when you look at all those "4th july" movies (indepence day, the patriot,...) you get really sick because it's a depicturization of american self-loving and self-overrating;
now to the bj reference: i think it's enormously brave to play a concert on sept 11 in japan- because they will get a big, negative response in their homecountry- but i think it's this step back from the self loving- and it's a sign saying that there's something beyond all that sept 11 stuff
