Default Does anyone suffer premonitions?????

Okay
Following on from the ghosts question

A couple of years ago i started dreaming about plane crashes, i have never, and hope to never see that happen but i could not get the sound out of my head and it started to get me really down, it was an awful sound. I told my mum bout the dreams and she said it was just because everything that happened on 9/11 was in my mind ( it was a few weeks after this happenend and lets face it everyone was thinking about it ) Anyway a couple of days later my mum was talking about some microlight that had come down, thinking nothing of it.

My best mate knew about the dreams and he kept pointing out to me that everytime i had a dream something would happen within a month of the dream, not always a crash but there would be a major incident involving aircraft which was in the news. I kept having these dreams and as if to prove it to myself, told my mum ( who did not know what my mate had said ) everytime i had a dream. There are three seperate incidents which i can recall

(1) I dreamt of a helicopter lying upside down, all around it was bright white light, which i could not fathom what this was. I told my mum about the dream and simply said "watch the news" leaving it at that, my mum thought i was crazy but sure enough, a few days later my mum rang me at work and was a bit freaky, she told me that a helicopter had crashed in the alps a few hours before

( 2 ) I dreamt of a helicopter in a dock, and it kept spinning around as if it couldn't get its balance, told my mum, couple of days later she rang me to tell me that a ferry had been sitting in a dock and had listed over suddenly ( okay its not a plane but it still had the dock and a capsized veichle in it )

(3) A couple of weeks ago i had a dream about a plane that was falling, and could distinctivly remember the colours blue and orange on the back of the plane. My girlfriend had stayed over and the next morning i told her about the dream and that the the colour blue, orange or both were relevant to the dream. ON THE SAME DAY about 5pm she sent me a text telling me a helicopter had crashed in a field in kent ( you may remember this as it was only a month ago ), i thought she was ribbing me but when i checked the WAP news on the phone it was there. this happened about 12pm and i told my girlfriend about the dream at 8am!!! The next day she rang me and told me to buy the paper and look on a certain page, what was on ther, the crashed helicopter with a big strip of orange across its body work.

I can understand people being sceptical about this but believe me it has got so bad and disturbs me that i have put my faith in an indian dreamcatcher above my bed, alas, to no effect.

Does anyone else have or used to have experiences like this.

Can i also say that my dad flys all over the world and everytime he gets on a plane i panic, i am not the sort of person who would sensationalise plane crashes as they are not the sort of thing that you joke about, the stuff above is as real as it gets

the mind is a VERY powerful thing that we'll never totally understand so i think it's completely reasonable to think that people can see these things.

wouldn;t say i had premonitions but on free periods on monday afternoons me n my bro n some mates use dto sit and just talk about anything and it usually got turned onto political and world things. alot of the time what we talked about, similar things would happen shortly after. can;t remember too many details of the smaller stuff but i'll never ever forget talking one monday about how we reckoned GW Bush would start WW3 with the middle east in the near future because of something they did against the west.

that was the 10th of september 2001 and we never talked about anything like that on mondays ever again

They say that you only use about 20% of the full potential of your brain, infact practically one full side is not used and the power withing your mind is an amazing thing, if you tap into the rest of your brain the potential is endless.

Thanks for not dissing me!!!!!lol

I have them from time to time.. but it's not serious stuff like plane crashing. Just some stuff concerning my friends, family, myself.. I often dream stuff that come true afterwards. Sometimes it's cool, but it's scary mostly..

the brain trully is an amazing thing.

i get really vivid deja vu sometimes.

one of the freakiest was on my 1st driving lesson when i was driving round about here and came to a certain part and the instructor said give it more gas and it just reminded me of a time i'd seen that years before but i'd never been in a car ever and it was in the exact same way and the exact same words she used.
mustve just triggered something in my brain saying hey u've seen this before.

wierd stuff. kinda freaked me out actually.

I don't really have premonitions, but I do have a strong intuition, which can be extremely handy if I chose to listen to it. I am thinking of taking a course this year to further develop it as I've been told that I have a paranormal ability, although I need to fine tune it. My mother has had a few dreams that have come true though.

It's something very present in my family, it's scary sometimes, because most of the times it's about sad and bad events. My husband never believed in anything which is not rational ... but he has changed ! I think the more you're a sensitive person, the more you can feel these things ....

Yes. I have premonitions and dreams too. I've had some very significant ones about Jon that you wouldn't believe me if I told you, so I'll just keep them to myself. LOL Once I had a premonition of a certain house being on fire as I drove by it on the way home. The next day, when I drove back by it, it was burned. That one made me feel weird and guilty and scared. I didn't take it seriously and then, there it was, less than 24 horus later, burned. But, even if I had taken it seriously, what was I supposed to do? Knock on their door and tell them I thought their house was going to burn? Next stop, my fitting for a straight jacket.
