Does councilling work?

yeah i agree with alot of yr thoughts, and being a shaman i should be stronger but i think when my heart strings are so attached its hard to look from the outside...yes it is tough, but its harder when the ppl getting knocked down around u are the ones whom u turn too...im sorry about yr friend, im sure they are ok in the afterlife..

I am a cousellor and sometimes it is easier for people to talk to someone that isnt personally involved in the situation. Sometimes people cant speak up for fear of hurting the one listening , so dont take it personally, give your friend space, they will come to you if and when they are ready.

sometimes it helps sometimes it wont.

im supposed to be making an appointment to see one, but i just cant bring myself to it personally cause i cant see it helping. im a complete introvert in person for one, and im very self protective and would just sit there....
but its a good idea....i guess it just varies from situation to situation

I'm sure if you find a counsellor that you can trust you would open up. I think everyone finds the first time difficult, yalking to a complete stranger about your problems. But I think in the long run you will benefit from it.

Not a lot of people do. I don't, but trust needs to be gained and earned. I think if you trust people from the word go, then you'd be very naive. But you need to give people the benefit of the doubt as well to some extent, otherwise you will have a very lonely existence. You must have friends you trust?

I think we all do but in 99 percent of the cases that does not include psichyatrist or councelors.
