Default drunk drivers >:-/

so if u've read my post on devilson nearly getting the jail u'll know i was out dancing last night with my girlfriend and soem friends.

anyways i was working till 10 so they came upto my work just before 10 so we could go str8 into town.

so we're pulling down the shutters n we here a car crash just behind the bushes across the road and me n my mate i work with run round and find a big people carrier lying on its side on the road.

the road in question is a single lane carriageway with little islands in between the lanes for people creossing to stand in. it turned out one of the girls i was going dancing with knew the woman and i along with the guys who were on the scene had to kick the back doors in and let her go in and get the woman out because she wouldnt talk to anyone else.

as soon as the doors opened u could smell the drink it was so strong, the woman was completely rattled.

a guy who seen it said she was just driving up the middle of the road, hit the lampost in the middle of these little islands and toppled the car. she was fine with the exception of a burst lip and my girlfriend foned the fire brigade, police and ambulance.

my girlfriend was pissed off because the police turned up about 15 minutes after the ambulance and fire crew and the guys didn't seem to have ac lue what they were doing but i was like well if u fone the polis and u say someones crashed but shes out the car, shes fi9ne, no ones hurt n an ambulance is on the way, they're goin to give really really serious stuff priority.

i just stood there thinking how the **** can someone be strupid enough to get in that state and get behind the wheel? fair enough if im driving and we end up in the pub ill have half a pint of miller or some weak lager then just drink coke so im under the limit but this woman was completely smashed and all i kept think was if i'd got out of work half a minute faster we'd have been crossing that road when she hit the lampost right in front of us or even worse, missed it and hit one of us.

i know it's a sad thing to say but i hope the woman gets the jail and i kept thinking today that if she had hit my girlfriend or one of my mates i'd probably be the one in the jail cos i would have set about her.

I never understand drinking and driving, I think it should be treated as a serious offence. That you want to put your own life in danger is one thing, but it usually involves killing innocent people. You so often hear of children or young people dying because someone was too drunk to drive. You should at least have the presence of mind to get a taxi if you've had too much to drink.
If I go out, I never drink. That is the choice you make if you are driving. I will have a few drinks if I go out to dinner, but then that is a couple of glasses of wine during dinner, with lots of water!
Shocking story, she should be put in jail!

You are so right about that...

A friend of my dad had an awfull accident. It wasn't even his fault because he crashed an old drunk woman in the middle of the night. It was her fault but it took this man a few years to recover....if he recovered

When you are drunk,you shouldn't even walk...call a Taxi!

drunk drivers are murderers ... if they want to die, they can do it all alone, not somewhere they can kill innocents

exactly.....

It's not manslaughter even, because you know the consequences of going out drunk and driving, that's what happens.

Ever sat down at a party and spilled a bottle of something everywhere because you didn't even realise it was there? I mean, how you can drive when your senses are so far out of it is just scary.... It's sad too, seeing all the lives that are ruined by these irresponsible ****s that drink and drive!
