To illustrate this with an example, lets say, you have a season team with Mark Webber selected as a Driver and he has scored for your team for 8 races, Mark Webber will no longer score any points for your team. This will be indicated with a icon against your team. Similarly, for a stage team drivers and constructors will score only for a maximum of 2 races.

I never win anything!

I only found out about the 8 race rule a few races ago. There was little red flags next to my drivers and they went when I changed my drivers. I posted about it a few pages back.
