Dumb things that your parents have said to you.

my mum calls me my sister's name and vice versa and she can never remember my birthday.. I wonder if she was actually there?!?!?

I remember when my mother had the bright idea of putting her pet parakeets (budgies) in a bird cage made from wood and sitting it out on the porch during the spring. Now parakeets and other parrots are known for their love of knawing.
I tried to warn my mom, but she wouldn't listen.

Well one day, when I got home from school, there were no birds.
I hemmed and hawwed at dinner how I was going to tell my mother this, because I knew she was going to blow up.

So finally I blurted out, "You remember the birds you used to have?"

I didn't mean to say it that way, that is just what came out.
I do believe her head started to spin at that moment.
I wasn't about to say "I told you so." But then again, judging by how I broke the news...one could say that I did say it.

I went camping with my friends this summer and my mom was looking at my pictures. She tells me that they are good, but wondered why I wasn't in any of them Maybe because I was the one taking the pictures Mom! Not only that, my grandmother (on my mom's side) saw the pictures a few weeks later and asked why i wasn't in any of the pictures.
My dad keeps telling me this sort of behaviour is genetic

When i asked my mom a long while ago if she was pregnant with my older sister when they got married, because my sister was born 4 months after the date of the marriage certificate. She answers me with "No, we got married the year before, then remarried 4 months before Jessi was born"

i know there's a whole bunch of other crap she's said, but i can't think of any really right now.

LOL argh i have many, but actually my older brother seems to be just bas as the parents.

My mum said to me a couple weeks ago "jade do you ever wonder why water is wet" ERM not really no. And i remember when i was about to go to a party and my brother was round, i was getting ready to go and the guy i was seeing at the time was in the living room waiting for me and i heard my brother say "if your gonna get her pregnant make sure you wear a condom" what the hell?? Also something my mum do, she STILL leaves the carrot and mince pie and that out "for santa" and tries to convince me hes real. parents!

My Mum says things like

"Do you remember that women who used to live at the end of the road, erm she had three kids and one of them went to your school, or did she go to school with Rebecca (my sister) or was that someone else??"

By the time shes finished asking shes got so confused she cant even remember why she asked!!
