Uptight Germans....

My point this time.... was that Goose is taking it into a completely different context....

Strip away all the who did what etc.... a person with a lethal weapon is using it to try & kill u. U haven't got time to form a committee on it or maybe even to look to see who it is....

No, I don't think it would make the US look like a joke if they valued human life. Hole 'em up, and wait for 'em to come out. Jeez, keep the place locked down, and eventually, they'll run out of food and ammo. There were ways of getting them out without killing them. We just didn't want to expend the time and energy investigating, or, God forbid, trying them. Dead bodies look a lot better on tv than people who can make your whole war look like a joke. Not only that, but we wanted this quick, a heroic gun battle with horribly evil and twisted people sits a lot better with the American public than waiting till their to weak to kill you and then handcuffing them. We don't care who we kill in the process, be it 14 year old boys or anyone else, and this is just the latest evidence of that.

Seems they were feeding their bodyguards to the lions at the house. Guess their host wanted them out ASAP.

Anyway, unless you were there, you really can't comment. If I was a soldier, I would worry about my own life before I would worry about two scumbags that deserve to die. But, I wasn't there, so I don't know how it all went down. I only know what I have read, and we all know how reliable that is.

I can comment. I'm an American citizen and supposedly this war is being conducted to keep me safe and to "free" the Iraqi people, as big a lie as that is.

Yeah, I guess I would worry about my life first, but my point remains the same. There were other avenues besides pouring rockets and bullets into their house, we just didn't pursue them for the simple fact that they had information that could've possibly caused the US considerable embarrassment, and therefore it was decreed they had to die. Simple as that. When the credibility of a President and a multibillion dollar war is on the line, life is worth spit, no matter who's it is.

everyway u look at it, it;s in the past nothings going to change whats been done.

the only point i'm going to throw in is that i would rather have had them dragged out of their and hung in the middle of baghdad in front of "their" own people.
