Ok, if you read the whole page it says:

The rumor laid dormant until October 1998

then

In 2004 the hoax jumped to Britain

That's why the two versions from those years are printed. If you read the whole page it explains where and when this email hoax keeps rearing its head.

All anyone really needs to know though is that it is a HOAX!
