Yes, shock value is everything. Starts out strong, but fades out quickly. Marilyn Mason is the perfect example. He will be on an episode of VH1's "Where Are They Now??" soon.

Plus, it is hard work to continue to be "shocking" all the time.

Untrue. He is just a big, big showman. What he says makes sence if you listen to him with open mind and understand that that is only a show. Most his jokes are actually smart and valid. He's got great imagination.

Fine, so he doesn't believe in what he says. That's ok, I don't minde that, I don;t like the music. But all the kids listening to him, do take it seriously! If he's making racist comments, and homophobic comments he's their role model, and they are taking his ideas. What he stands for stinks, and shoudln't be condoned. Even if he isn't (and I think he is) he's doing something much worse, creating a whole group of people who think this way.

He did a show in Manchester where he ended up with talks with the police, as he took an extersy tablet on stage..... Now he said afterwards it was just a pain killer, which it probably was, but there are 20000 people in that audiance who think it's now cool to take drugs, that's what he stands for, that's what he encourages with his behavour. . . . .

I disagree with any talent, or imagination he has, but that's besides the point, what he is saying is setting the wrong messages, and if he really is cleaver, and imaginative, he should be coming out telling these people they've got him wrong, that he doesn't think these things..... At the end of the day, I dismiss what he says, and if I did listen, I could detect any irony e.t.c in his writting (although I still doubt it's there), fact is a less than intelegent child can't do, and so takes his comments on face value.

I don't think you give kids enough credit, a lot of them are aware of what drugs can do to them. They are fed that stuff everyday. If it wasn't Eminem they were rebelling with, then it would be someone else.
I have no doubt that when BJ just started older people called them a bad influence. The same happened with Elvis, at the start he was continuously bagged by the oldies.

When he refers to "homo's" he actually means thing like d*ckhead or something. It is the language he was raised in, that is what he means, not literally real homosexuals.
