If he's making racist comments, and homophobic comments he's their role model, and they are taking his ideas. What he stands for stinks, and shoudln't be condoned. Even if he isn't (and I think he is) he's doing something much worse, creating a whole group of people who think this way.

He did a show in Manchester where he ended up with talks with the police, as he took an extersy tablet on stage..... Now he said afterwards it was just a pain killer, which it probably was, but there are 20000 people in that audiance who think it's now cool to take drugs, that's what he stands for, that's what he encourages with his behavour. . . . .

I disagree with any talent, or imagination he has, but that's besides the point, what he is saying is setting the wrong messages, and if he really is cleaver, and imaginative, he should be coming out telling these people they've got him wrong, that he doesn't think these things..... At the end of the day, I dismiss what he says, and if I did listen, I could detect any irony e.t.c in his writting (although I still doubt it's there), fact is a less than intelegent child can't do, and so takes his comments on face value.
I don't think you give kids enough credit, a lot of them are aware of what drugs can do to them. They are fed that stuff everyday. If it wasn't Eminem they were rebelling with, then it would be someone else.
I have no doubt that when BJ just started older people called them a bad influence. The same happened with Elvis, at the start he was continuously bagged by the oldies.

When he refers to "homo's" he actually means thing like d*ckhead or something. It is the language he was raised in, that is what he means, not literally real homosexuals.
Bon Jovi never lead their fans to believe that they were taking drugs on stage. Bon Jovi participated in an anti drugs festival!!!!!!!!

Bon Jovi were seen as being a bad influence because they had long hair, played their music too loud, and were seen as being slightly rebelious..... Emenem is a bad influence because he openly condones, and encourages drug use, writes songs which are openly racist, homophobic, and again encouraging drugs, undermining women. The fact is, whether he means it or not, that's the image he projects, that's what a lot of people think about him....

Don't give kids anything, I'd say a majority of people I know have taken drugs because of peer pressure. When you're role model is taking them on stage, and encouraging usage, and giveing it a cool image, then it will encourage people. It works the opposite to me, I'd never use it becaue I've seen the effects of them, my hero;s have died through using!

If it wansn't Emenem stuff is rubbish..... What if you say if it wasn't Osama Bin Laden it would be somebody else. Does this excuse what he does, and justify his actions?????? Emenem may be a consequence of the music business (not art), but what he does is still setting the wrong example, and will harm society. He represents what he does, therefore he is to blame for it.

What about the 80's rock bands with sexist lyrics and prejudices? How about the bands that drank blood on stage and said that it was okay to rape women? How about the bands that say that Satan is the ultimate saviour and burn down churches? How about the teeny-poppers that show little girls how to dress for school?

It's not just Eminem and your reaction to him winning an Oscar shows how little you know. If you can really hate him so much that you'd post hate messages on messageboards, you really have a lot to work out. He's only a rapper, trying to shock people. And he's good at what he does. You proved it.

no no, he won an oscor, he's been apreciated for his work, and isn't just discarded as a dangerous influence. Bands like Slip Knot are terrible, and carry similar messages, but they don't win prostigious awards, and have respect in society!!!!!!!

The teeny bopers wearing short skirts for schools isn't going to have a great effect on their lives..... Being told as a youngster, that it's cool to rape somebody, or that racism is fine is dangerous to soceity.... you don't think it is?

I'm not going to go on a discussion board to show my hatred, I'm above that petty level of rubishing somebody elses site

If shocking people, by telling the youth that it's cool to be racist, homophobic, sexist, and that drugs are fine, then yes, he's good at what he does.
