what a waste of time that trip was. robert green in goal?! zat knights and glen johnson at centre back?! pointless, completely pointless.

Probably a waste of time for the few thousand of fans who travelled, but it was a good practice game for Sven to see younger players come through. Its never a bad thing to try out other (uncapped) players in a few friendlies at the end of the season, to see how they fare at international level. Two games two wins, as Gary Lineker said, you can get better than that. .

Well there is that. I think many of them def would have been disappointed if the likes of Owen n Beckham handnt played at all. I still missed having Gerrard, Lampard, G.Neville etc...
