European football....is it overrated?

20 lads running after a ball, once they have it they kick it away again... Ok, it's overrated, I don't watch footie except when our National Team is playing. Just wish they could play a bit better though...
I watch all big tournaments, but no national leagues.

Its the best sport to watch, basically anything can happen in a game of football. Its really exciting, you only have to see how country gets behind England if we are doing well in a major tournament, it just gives everyone a lift. (and Yes Choc the 22 men running around is a good bonus for us girls too )

Football is OK

the goalkeepers usually dont run that much though thats why i left them out

i don't agree here. usually you can clearly see it coming, before a goal happens. and usually 80% or 90% of the game takes place in the middle of the field, where nothing really unexpected can happen. there are sports that are much faster, where one team can have a chance to score and the other team scores just 3 or 4 seconds later. things like that aren't possible in football, it's much slower.

i like football, but there are better sports to watch, faster sports and sports where a lot more can happen in a short time.

Well, the sport itself might be good (although I only like watching it when it's a BIG thing like World champion, ...) but it's true all the money and hassle around it is tooooooooo much ... It's also sad people fight a lot cause of these ... let's face it ... just a sport-game

India is higest population in the world and here "CRICKET' is consider as relgion. I don't think there anything gonna beat cricket in India and also for millions and millions Indian live outside india. :P

I don't think it is overrated, all the "big" names play mainly in an European team. I don't think it is just 20/22 players running behind the ball either. I love football, and still support my Argy-Bary team as well as a Spanish one, and really enjoy when I see how good a player like Zidane, Henry, and so on, can be...
