Just checked the UN website (http://www.un.org/esa/population/pub...ia/ind1bil.htm) though, and here's what I found

I'm sure India is highest population, but if not just adding up all NRI's it will cross any country.

When I say overrated, I mean in comparison to other sports.

For example, it's quite funny to hear Australian sporting journos complain that Aussie Rules Football players earn too much money, yet the highest paid players in the league earn about $700,000 AUD, which is peanuts compared to some of these other professional football codes around the world.

I think football has just the right balance though, it has a fast pace but isnt too complicated to follow, by having too many silly rules and breaks in play. Anyone who thinks footballs underated should have been at the match I was at today, 8000 Leeds fans singing at Blackburn all the way through the match.
