I didnt do A-Levels, I did Advanced GNVQ (equiv to two A-Levels) and I got a distinction and out of the two classes that we had, only 4 people got the highest Grade

which GNVQ did you do?

im currently only working in retail, training up to be an assistant sales manager, like a few of my friends have done. Its taking time though and im having to prove to my bosses that im worth a lot. Im doing well at the mo, but we are having a refurb at the moment so cant really do much.
This time next year, i will be riding high. I dont plan in staying in retail though, i want an office job, where i can do less, and get paid more.

Dropping out of uni was the biggest mistake of my life. I regret it so much now. I wanna go back, but tehre is no way i could go back to education where i wouldnt be earning money. I dont want anymore loas though coz i already have a £3000 loan to pay back from the first year i did, and then dropped out.

thanks Jana, your thoughts mean a lot. I dont think im doing so bad though and as I said, my bosses are training me up to be more than what I am now which is great. I know i can do it, i certainly have the qualities to do what my friends have done in the company. If i dont succeed soon though, i will be moving on to bigger and better things. Its always something to fall back on.
