bogan - a somewhat derogatory term
cactus - had it, completely wrecked, stuffed
chewy - chewing gum
chunder - spew, vomit - seems it comes from when ships were transporting convicts to Oz - convicts slept in typical sailing ship style bunks - if the person on the top was going to vomit, they'd say 'watch out under' as a warning[historical lesson taught to my daughter when she sailed on a sail training tall ship here] - and in typical aussie fashion, it's eventually been shortened to one word..chunder [why say 3 words when you can say 1]
crow-eater - resident of South Australia [supposedly because there are a lot of crows here...we don't eat them either...chickens yes, crows NO]
daks - pants, trousers
flat out like a lizard drinking water - extremely busy
furphy - rumour
ridgie didge - the real deal
schoolie - school aged teeneager
slab - carton of 24 cans or stubbies of beer
snag - sausage
stubbie/stubby - 375ml. bottle of beer
and Oi

S.

We use that over here too, but I never heard of the story behind it. Thanks for the history lesson, I can go and impress all my mates now!!!
