i like phantasie books like the lord of the rings, or the neverending story- i also dig the novels of Nick Hornby- he's brilliant and high fidelity is the best adaption i've ever seen- i have read the book before and it's even better! my other fable might be a bit ill: i DIG thomas harris (silence of the lambs, hannibal,...) and hannibal's the worst adaptation ever but the book is exceptional! hope that he comes out with a fourth part of the hannibal story...

Sara, let me know when u finish it & what u think.

Has anyone read any James Herbert books? - He is a horror / chiller writer similar to Stephen King & has written some great books.

I was addicted to the His Dark Materials series by Phillip Pullman a couple of weeks back. For those who don't know, it's a story spread over three books (Northern Lights, The Subtle Knife and The Amber Spyglass) and is absolutely stunning, best piece of work since Lord Of The Rings. Read. Now. Yay. :P

I reallt like the Star Wars books, there's so many of them, and they're really great. So far, they extend to like 26 years after the movies end. Anyone else read them?
