well today we had 8 or 10 degrees celsius! this is cold, isn't it?
No it isn't!!!

We've had up to -35 celsius here this winter (it's around -15 now, with a cold and strong wind!)
but you're in finland! that's polar cold not just cold!
oh my! i just couldn't live there! -35 degrees??????
just a few weeks ago, for some days, we had +19 or 20 degrees but now it's around 10 (in athens, cause in north greece is below 0 )!

It's not cold, just colder... Besides, we've had even more than -35 degrees, but that's another story. I don't enjoy it much, cause you just can't go outside, and if you have to (to go to work for example), you just wanna get inside as fast as you can... But we're on a better side, it's just a few more months until summer...

Yep, and now it's almost warm with -15 ºC

You can't almost breathe outside when it's below -30 ºC

Is it as cold and strong a wind over there as it's over here? It's really strong, about 15 m/s, it feels like Siberia...

I live on the west coast 500 km north from Helsinki (which is on the south coast). Of course people live in Northern Finland (Lapland) but not as much anymore, many people are moving to Southern Finland or bigger cities in north. But that happens everywhere in Finland, only few people want to live on the countryside anymore. There are areas in Lapland where there live on average only 1 person/1 square kilometer. Must be lonely

I live in Tampere, it's about 200 km's north of Helsinki. It's the biggest inland (non-coastal) town in whole of Scandinavia, and 3rd biggest town in Finland.

And no, don't trust Taija. There's no one livin' in the north of Finland, just polar bears and penguins live there Just kidding. There are people there, too. :P
