Great post Becky. You're right about the stuff you won't compromise on, and I'm too picky now. I've always felt that I'm mature for my age, and as a result I tend to prefer older women. I look for people who are not too childish, and quite intellegent, with ambitions. Who are pleasent to be around because they are nice people. Someone with a sense of humour, and you feel like you could talk to for ages, and if she just happens to be good looking then that completes the package, although it's not imperative. Those kind of people are the special ones in my eyes, and it's those kind of people that are few and far between, most of which are already taken.

so what ur saying is if u met an intelligent ambitious and mature girl you would go for her even if she'd fell and hit every branch on the ugly tree, had the ugly tree fall ontop of her as a result then have the ugly elephant parade march over her face?

it's a nice thought that alot of people claim but when it comes down to it, looks count for alot more than people r willign to let on or pretend they care about. u could find the coolest nicest person in the world but if she looks like mo mowlam then ur going to shoot a wide berth.

that is usually when the "I like you as a friend" comes in - LOL

too true though. Me included, though I don't like to admit it.

i'm just being honest and i think almosyt anyone who denies this is just plain lying.

i mean i used to gig in a pub that fat cunt michelle from pop idol worked in. now she might have been the nicest friendliest person i've ever came across (k she wasnt and she cant pour a pint but regardless) she could be great to get along with but i'm not takign her hoem to my bed and i doubt many people would either.

nothign to be ashamed of its just the way the world works.

For me, the more I get to know a person, the more or less attractive they become. I've met guys that I thought were hot, but then they opened their mouth and lost all attractiveness. I've met guys that were nothing special to look at and they got more attractive as I got to know them. I'd rather be with someone who fell off the ugly tree, rode the ugly elephant in the ugly parade and drank some ugly juice than be with a great looking prick. Looks don't mean anything if there's no substance--unless you're looking for a quick roll in the hay, which I'm not.

It's so true Becky, I used to lost my time with models on Harley-Davidson some were fun, funny, nice and all, but something was missing. When you ask someone what he's doing in his life and the first answer you get is, drink, drink, and drink and the guy is serious of course, he's laughing and thinks he's sexy ! Or he spends his life with his mates at 35 years old ! don't forget those who stayed on the same roof as their mum so they don't have anything to do and they can even complain when the meat is not good enough
Whem i met my husband, maybe he wasn't the most good looking guy in the pub, but each word he told me i was under the charm, i call him my encyclopedia, his knowledge in music is impressive too ... well as Rob said the best are always taken, maybe it's true, maybe not, but even if sometimes i'd like to send him on another planet i know there are some persons who are waiting for him .... they can dream

And me then ? In general (sorry but it's the majority) men have their kids two weekends per month, but the women in general lives with their kids, so it means, if something happens in my couple, i will spend the rest of my life alone ......
Thank you Neurotica
