I think it's more about you turning more picky... And the fact that the older you get, the less available men who fulfill your criteria there are. There's always people for few nights, but anything more serious demands a lot more.

I've found that anytime I'm not looking, I find what I need. I have a complex theory about a special feromone single people emit that basically says "Run away! Run away! I'm single, I'm looking and I'm getting desperate!". It's a nice turn off.

Did you ever notice how you could always get all the women / men you want when your IN a relationship, but when you're not you never seem to find anyone? That's what my theory explains.
