Finding someone

Go for it. You only live once, enjoy it while you can. You say your friend also works (worked) at the same place?? Maybe you can use him to break the ice. You know, go in with him, have him introduce you...whatever. Either way you approach it, I say do it!

This is another problem. He doesn't know her. He's offered to try and ask management if she works there, and when she's around, but it's not like he can introduce us, and I wonder about the chances of management providing this information.

Herein lies another problem. My parents would be, uh, less than 100% supportive in such an endeavour. With the exception of one who lives up the street, they pretty much view all girls around my own age as bad news. Which was why I was just going to ask her for her email address and see what happened. Which is why it's my best friend that's helping me with this.

Good news! My friend found out that yes, she's still working there (a bit of a relief) and incidentally/accidentally, he knows her sister and by connection, her.

Now I just have to figure out how I want to go about this.

Just ask her if she would like to join you for a dinner and a movie. But you MUST and I mean MUST pull the popcorn trick on her. She'll love you forever and next thing we'll be reading from you is what color bow tie you should go with for your wedding day with this woman.
