thing is... in the UK with bonfire night and all... its the shops who tend to be irresponsible.. there isnt enough regulating going on to ensure that what is being sold is safe....and that people are going to use it responsibly.

the other major problem over here, and this is mainly due to sales to kids is that of them being set off up to a month in advance of the night itself because shops start to stock them so early.
i have to say that i have been responsible in the past for setting fireworks off on non bonfire night... however, always on my birthday which is 5 days later... ive occasionally saved a few AND THEN set them off... but thats different. plus we've always been responsible. the worst thing that happened was that we blew a bit of a hole in the back garden cause on of the air bombs became a ground bomb....

but yeah i guess i have to kind of agree in a way...
at least for stricter regulations anyhow...
