No anger, I'm just in awe of these people. And no, I'm not gonna drink for this, I've got better things to do.

And I wasn't the one who started this, I just wanted to save everyone else from the insulting posts some people seem to post anywhere, so I started a thread. Flame me all you want, isn't that nice?

Yes. But how come any universal truth is just an opinion for McRock? Or an opinion is a fact for him? That's my point, these people do not see the difference between an opinion and a fact.

I know. And this is what I've been trying to say, to no success. Read what the others have posted before, maybe you'll see what I'm talking about.

Haha, but what is truth. Truth is undifinable, what one person see's as the truth, somebody else doesn't. Have you ever seen the X-Files.... 'the truth is out there'.... not the truth is as Ice decides it should be!!!!!!!!!

Ice, you have been swearing at me for weeks, I'm sure I could find posts from our first encounter, where you have been personal, and to be quite frankly used language that makes me want to clean your keyboard out!!!!!!

You see we are so very stupid though..... Letitrock's currently studying at Oxford Uni!!!!!

No, the truth isn't undefinable. It's based on facts. If you define truth to be something from the X-files, you're pretty out there yourself.

No, I haven't. Prove me wrong. You started it, if I'm sweared at, I will return the compliment.

Going to an University doesn't make anyone intelligent. And why didn't you say where you were going to?

Oh, and you're the one who refuses to use PM's. For the record, I've tried several times to discuss with you via PM's, but you won't. It's "too boring". Sounds to me like you need an audience to look up to you. Even on a message board. That's sad.

no I don't need an audiance, I'd sooner not have these discusions at all. I find you boring, you have nothing to say that isn't repeatetive. I'd sooner you simply stoped joining into discusion with the soul purpose of starting an argument with me. I can't help myself whey I'm started, I do'nt particualrly want to argue with you, I'd sooner discuss things with people who are actually worth the time (i.e 90% of the people on this board).

But again something being a fact can't be completely dictated by proof. You can't say God doesnt' exist, becasu there isn't enough proof to prove it. There isn't enough proof to disprove it, so it works both ways..... Why do we go around and around like this. I personaly see a lot of science as the truth, or rather except that. But that doesn't mean I'm right! I'll tell you that imaginary numbers exist, because I can mathmatically prove it. I've studied them, and am not just taking somebody elses findings as the truth. Again, scientists used to say the world was flat, they proved it as proof was nessesariy at that time, but they weren't right. I'm not basing truth on somehting I see in the X-files, but I agree with the concept. You may have missed the point of the program, but it's about not being able to answer questions. Science can say one thing, but can one believe what they see with their own eyes if it's contrary to what they believe. Are their alians out there? Yes or no, there is no way of proving it (at present in any case), yet the truth is still there, they won't not exist up untill the point we discover them (assuming they do in fact exist).

The program also goes into what government's hide. You shojuld relaly look into this!!!!! You are told what they want you to know, there are government cover ups, if you don't believe this just study history, you'll soon find out that it's been hapening for centuries. What you know as truth is what you are being told is the truth, if the real truth is harmful, then maybe you're just believing in the cover up!

Also, I'm going to Manchester Uni. I applied to Oxford, but was rejected after the interview. There is a 1/3 chance of getting in there, and I was at a slight disadvantage with my college (the previous year 4 pupils had failed to obtain the grades after being offered places). In the previous year, there were I think 6 aplicants, and all got places (only 2 got the grades), this year, there were I think 7 aplicants, and only 1 person was offered a place. I'm not making up excuses, but in a different year, I may have got a place, as my grades, and my interview was up to the standard. I'm going to Manchester because it's where I live, I have other offers, but that would involve a huge financial burden, and as Manchester's still one of the top 15 Uni's in England, I'm going there...... I'm looking to finish college this year with 5 A's at A-level, including one in Futher maths, when a lot of other students will be finishing with only 5 Alevels....... So I'm not at Oxford.... I'm still not stupid!

Damn I come across as arogant here!!!!!!I really don't mean to. College is smething that is in fact second to me, after music.... This shows in the obsurde about of concert's I'm going during my exam weeks, including traviling around England for show (two of which are Bon Jovi )

Me starting arguments? I haven't started one yet. Again, prove me wrong.

Anyone who bases his opinions on life on a tv-series, really shouldn't judge anyone. And you talk about propaganda... Heh.

Scientific proof is proof. As for proofs, there is no God. As of belief, it's everyone's personal view.

creating a post saying "flame me please" is pretty much starting an argument especially when you insult everyone. It's a difficult situation because everyone wants to have the last word... occasionally you Ice decide to let things drop but maybe mike, choclady or I or someone else will do a new post which starts things off again, and equally sometimes we drop it but you start something new and on it goes again...

he doesn't base life on a tv series as far as i know he just stated an example - there is no basis for life that is more just than tv anyway - books are just as flawed, simply "experienceing life" if you will is not a good basis either since it's a very individual-centric path.

I'm not a believer in God (my MSN messanger screen name says as much) but you are wrong to say "as for proofs, there is no God simply because it hasn't been proven" - but i do not what you are saying, and the problem is that believers claim 100% there is a God - and yet it is a leap of faith - the emphasis on faith suggests that it is something you believe rather than something that can be proven otherwise it would not be called a leap of faith.

I think the way you handled the MC and Poision post shows how you started an argument since all i said was that they are not musically talented and then i got "flamed" by Ice - and that's how this whole bloody thing started.

Well said. Let it rock is right about me using the Xfiles as an example. I don't bass my opions on one source, I could just as easily used something like Orwell's 1984, or made references to German propaganda in world war one.....
