Btw, my gf's from Liverpool and she doesn't have a problem with it - it's just something that comes with the territory. What does getting worked up about it solve? It was meant as a joke so laugh it off in the same vein with which it was said - and I don't see you complainin' about the post with Gerrard gettin' pulled over by the coppers with the cup and sayin',

"I won it in a competition, honest!"

By getting irrate about it you just fulfill one of life's other stereotypes -

"Poms have no sense of humour!"

Lighten up, learn to laugh at one's self every once in awhile and you might find life a little more enjoyable!

back to the beautiful game (well it was until peter beardsley turned pro)

an artist/ photographer guy who drinks in my work today had a couple of strips in with him that he was going to frame for various folk.

He had a rangers strip in signed by the full squad which was cool in its own right but he had a strip zidane had actually worn playing for real and signed. you can tell it's genuine by the markings on the inside and it;s got a lining inside that commercial strips don't have.

Pretty cool eh.

I guess £300 isn't too bad in comparison and I'd expect just a signed replica shirt to fetch a fair bit if it was genuine, so Zidane's 'actual' signed match shirt I can see going for that - there's a lot of silly buggers who'll pay extra for sweat and dirt!

true technically speaking £300 for a shirt the dude has worn could be argued to be a bit of a bargain but then again, some people regard bags they can buy for £1000 instead of 1500 a steal.

£300's still a fair bit of money even for a rich student like myself.
