are you saying that you and dawn mainly agree or disagree?

the point i was making was regarding dawn's rather extreme attitudes regarding the war, political correctness etc when she should be promoting equality for all through her faith.

We disagree on many things but we agree on a few. 1 that took me aback a bit was about refugee's but that was mainly to do witht he fact that there are very few people here who openly talk about their dislike of the system we've got and I didn't think Dawn would be one to chip in her 2 bob. Not because she's fairly religious.

I'm geuinely asking out of interest btw I'm not trying to start anything here I'm just wondering how opinions of religious and non religious people are percieved by others.

i'd say, generally, that the ideas of the none religious are more respected. not to say this is right but it seems to be the way it is. religious ideas are perceived as far-out and a bit wacky as they tend to be based on teachings written years ago. i find, however, that religious people are more content with their lives and their seems to be a lot less conflict between them than those who would class themselves as unreligious.

this is interesting, you have judged my faith and how my faith should react. I can see why you see my opinions may be confusing based on your perceptions. I see faith as an individual matter , a personal relationship that one person has with God. Church is now filled with different religions/opinions attempting to praise God , to show Gods love comes through this. Love your neigbour as yourself increasing becomes one of the hardest commandment for this world to fulfil whilst disagreeing with your neigbours opinion you love them also.

I wouldnt use the word competition, but I see what you mean, both religions are fighting for souls. Most of this would be based from as far back as Abaraham and his sons. Both of these religions are very similar and want to be seen as the chosen people.

I think alot has to do with a perception that Muslims are trying to restrain Christianity. See the thread where I talk about Mosques caliming crosses on churches wer eoffensive to them.

Whether this is Islams actual intention or not is obviously debatable but I have a problem with alot of it more to do with the political correctness of it all rather than fearing for my religion.

Kind of ironic having a religion which is pretty despicable with its treatment to women playing the PC card and I can easilly see why it would offend a religious person even more.
