No it's not - that's why I prefaced it with "I can only speak for myself" Just out of curiosity, which part do you think I'm lying about?

Kathleen
the not wanting to be worshipped part.

You've clearly been hanging out with the wrong women Jim. Even if being worshipped sounds good at some point - the burden would get old. Imagine having to live up to that image all the time - no thanks - not for me. As I said, I'm not generalizing here, I'm only speaking for myself.

I personally don't like it Javier, sorry I think it is too much.

As Keeper, I also spotted some spelling mistakes but the whole song (at the beginning I thought it was a kind of poem) sounds a little weird to me...

btw I made a search as I didn't recognize them when you said they are probably from Argentina and found they are from Chile.

yep, many people have had negative reactions to this, I guess it's time to find another song, and the gig is just a week and a half away.

maybe I'll try my hand in wrtiting some spanish for a change.
Funny it's my native language but somehow I find it harder to rhyme and write my feelings in it.

I gave it a try and it sounds/looks horrible - I need to revise it, I may ask Keeper for her comments...

OK, Jim here it is...a very quick translation which I'm not happy with as it was very difficult to get what they tried to say...And, thanks Keeper for her comments too.

...

And God created Women

With a fleeting smile
And perfume in the skin
She lives like a feeling
He dreamed of her that way

And desire made sores in his skin
And his scream was heard
It was so loud that made him realise
God created Women

Delicate almost like the wind
Beautiful and immense like the sea
Provoking his desire
He stared at her

And her figure made him forget
His d**** loneliness
That’s why he shouted at the sky
And thanked God for creating women

....

And Javier, if you really want a song, I'd check either Ricardo Arjona or Armando Manzanero (imo they both have written great songs). Why don't you look for a poem? In that case I'd search anything either from Garcia Marquez, Neruda or similar...Good luck!
