My friend had 3 maids/maitrons of honor! Her sister and two best friends. Two married, one single. This along with 6 additional bridesmaids, two flower girls, and a ring bearer. Including her and her husband, there were 23 people in the bridal party. Don't worry about picking one over the other. When you do finally get married, it'll be your wedding and you can do whatever the hell you want.

In Finland we usually only have one maid of honour, who can be married or not. Then we might have some bridesmaids who are usually little girls (or boys).

Well, Neurotica, I'm one year younger than you and I do feel like that too. Surely I wouldn't like to settle down now, but sometimes it does make you think, doesn't it?

Plus, my sister's wedding is this Saturday and I'll have to answer to all those questions about whether I have a boyfriend, if i'll be the next one to get married, etc, etc
