Firstly, alliances are formed because it's good for both countries, and wars are fought because they will benefit the contries fighting them. If Romania is part of the European Union, it's because it's good for Britain, France and Germany to have them their, and not some sort of charitable gesture.

Hmmm, Britain backed down several times under apeasement in the build up to the second world war. In particuar, they guarenteed Czechoslovacia wouldn't not be taken by Germany, but then Britain turned a blind eye..... As for protecting people, and something being a morral war, the British govenment knew about the atrocities with the concentration camps (a British invension during the Boer war) and did nothing....NOTHING!!!!

Britain entred this war because it felt threatened, if Germany got stronge, it woudln't be able to fight them. Britain entred the first world war not becase of the old treaty it had with Belgium, but because Britain felt threatened, and had to act to save itself. In fact, during the nogosiations for the Treaty Of Versailles, Britain had made a promise to make a coalition with France, which it refused to do in the 20's!!!!!!


Bush isn't going to fight a war because of the moral argument, Britain will fight to secure it's buddy status with America.... If France and Germany don't find a reason for them to fight, then they won't commit their people to die for something that they won't ultimately benefit from. I've become more and more against the war in the past few weeks. I think the reason for this, is that there is no deffinate justification for a war. This is why polititions are beeting around the bush, and there is little deffinate desions being made. Going against America is such a big thing, and the polititions are vey weary of the consequences that may occure in the future if they do this. So reasons are being formulated, reasons are being fourced.
