It's quite ironic as this time it was my family that needed convincing!
Basically we are both in the same place (i.e. no doubts & feel ready). We could delay it for a year (as per my parents) but then we would have to wait a year before we could start our lives together - i.e. moving in etc.. When there really is no need. Right now though, both sets of parents are getting excited. We are having 2 weddings - a registrar in August with just her parents & some close Asain friends (this will be more an Asian wedding - obviously we can't do anything religious) but they will be wearing Asian get up etc.... + they get the signing. Then in early September we are having a humanist style blessing - which is just basically a wedding without the religious side. She will be wearing a white dress & walk down the aisle etc... Obviously it can't be in a church. Venue we are looking at though is the roof of the Trafalgar Hilton in London (supposed to be one of the best views of London). Money & Time permitting of course - we are very busy trying to plan it!! (SO any cost saving tips or good venue ideas in London would be appreciated. About the proposal - I proposed in candle light in her bedroom. She said yes. & then the night after it was my birthdya party - we announced it to all of our friends & they made us do it again. There is a video of it  But I am very happy & excited!! Oh & Martin - at LEAST 3 years for Mikey Jnr. Then the Ball & Chain really DOES surface!! (& I haven't told her about the Tree's yet Dawn.... probably something I should confess beforehand though....)

Wow congrats!!!! I can't believe how easy things work out and i'm so happy for you both
 So this mean no one need to leave their own religon?? I know my friend did the same thing and he is happly married..... So we have two JT marriage this year , keep updating mike
