My cousin tells me the same thing, and IMO that's the worst excuse ever... IE sucks. There's no doubt about it. There isn't single thing it does better than the other browsers.

I'll just reformat, but I may need to send of for discs because I can't find them, lol
Isn't that a bit harsh? You probably just have a trojan somewhere. Get a decent virus tracker (Norton or F-Secure, others won't do) and try that first.

I've tried a few different virus scanners and a few adware scanners and deleted anything I found, but it just won't go away.

I don't care what other browsers there are, I'm used to IE and I've never had problems with it in the past so see no need to change it.

I repeat: Norton or F-Secure, others won't do.

I'm having similar problems as Jim but I have Windows 98. What can I do to locate this stuff?

If I remember correctly, it's just the same. So go to the "Run" option in Start-panel, type in "msconfig" and press enter. Then continue as Stone said.

Putting symatec securty in ur PC will solve lot of problem i think.
Last week i had real problem with my home computer and people was trying hecking my machine and i used to lose control of machine. I only able to restart it though. Now after installing securty software, my problem seem to solved.

Neil - If you install Norton Anti-Virus 2004 it also searches for threats (not the same as viruses) and has found spyware on my machine that I don't even know is there sometimes. Ad Aware and Spy Bot never found a thing After visiting a crack site last Christmas I really got slammed with spyware and pop-ups. I have a pop up manager but as you say - once spyware is on your machine a popup blocker doesn't stop them. Norton 2004 was the only thing that worked and I have had no problems since.
